물에 닿는 칫솔에 화면 창을 내면, 그만큼 틈이 생깁니다.
저는 창을 내는 대신 빛이 통과하는 블랙 투명 PC로 외장 전체를 감쌌습니다.
꺼지면 매끈한 검은 면, 켜지면 그 너머로 화면이 떠오릅니다.

Cut a window into a toothbrush that gets wet and you have added a gap. Instead I wrapped the whole body in light-transmitting black PC: switched off it is a smooth black surface, switched on the screen rises through it.

곁눈질로도 한번에You never look down — the ring tells you

칫솔질 중에는 화면을 들여다보기 어렵습니다. 그래서 꼭 알아야 할 신호만 링에 맡겼습니다.
켜지면 링이 은은하게 차오르고, 너무 세게 누르면 빛으로 알려 줍니다.
빛은 PC 외장 안쪽의 라이트 가이드를 타고 올라옵니다. 새로 뚫은 구멍이 없어 방수 구조는 그대로입니다.

You cannot study a screen while brushing, so only the signals that matter went into the ring: it fills softly when the brush wakes and warns with light when you press too hard. The light travels up a guide inside the PC shell — no new opening, so the waterproof structure stays intact.

한번에, 하나씩One thing at a time

칫솔은 하루 두 번, 2분 남짓 손에 들립니다. 그 짧은 순간마다 필요한 정보가 다릅니다.
그래서 쓰는 순서대로 화면을 나눴습니다.

A toothbrush is held twice a day for about two minutes, and each of those moments needs something different — so I split the screen by the order of use.

첫 인사First use: 처음 들면 인사와 제품 이름A greeting and the product name when it is first picked up
충전Charging: 남은 배터리와 완충까지 걸리는 시간Battery left and time to full
헤드 장착Head attached: 브러시 인식, 교체 시기, 오늘의 루틴Head recognised, replacement timing, today's routine
